The gull’s death featured in this piece was unexpected, unplanned, and disturbing. Approaching while filming and putting them in the video is questionable. It’s just something that happened while I was making the video I’d intended and ended up becoming a meaningful to me and central to the video. I’m not sure it’s right to have this in such a video and I know I should have kept away for the bird’s sake.
